1. Information We Collect

• Account data: email address, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, and legal-acceptance metadata when you create an account.
• Saved plan and profile data: ZIP code, well label or property note, last tested year, notable concern text, and saved profile notes if you ask us to save them.
• Installer match data: name, email, county, pilot state, issue summary, and referral-status notes when you request a match.
• Measurement and referral data: the cookies wellwise_variant, ww_utm_*, ww_partner_id, and the browser local storage key wellwise_session_id when optional measurement/referral cookies are accepted.
• Comparison click data: first-party event logs for compare-page actions and outbound click activity.
• Support or security data: request metadata, rate-limit information, and basic security logs needed to protect the service.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide account access and saved-plan continuity.
• Generate plans, save optional household context, and support plain-English interpretation history.
• Review installer match requests manually and route them to appropriate local partners when a match is requested.
• Measure product usage, compare-flow performance, and partner/referral effectiveness when optional measurement/referral cookies are accepted.
• Prevent abuse, debug problems, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the service.

3. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

WellWise uses a small amount of first-party storage. Essential storage supports site operation, security, and routing. Optional measurement/referral storage helps us understand which pages, campaigns, or partners led to useful outcomes.

• Optional measurement/referral: ww_utm_source, ww_utm_medium, ww_utm_campaign, ww_utm_term, ww_utm_content, ww_gclid, ww_fbclid, ww_li_fat_id, ww_rdt_cid, ww_utm_icp, ww_partner_id, and wellwise_session_id.

4. Installer Match and Referral Sharing

If you request an installer match, WellWise may store your contact details and request summary, review them manually, and share the request with one or more relevant installer partners in your area if a match appears appropriate. We do not automatically sell or broadcast your request to a broad marketplace.

5. Commercial Links and Attribution

Some compare-page links may be affiliate links or tracked referral links. If you accept optional measurement/referral cookies, WellWise may append limited attribution context such as source, medium, campaign, or partner ID to outbound vendor links. We do not append user-entered well notes, ZIPs, household notes, or pasted lab values to vendor URLs.

6. Service Providers

We use service providers to operate the product, including Vercel for hosting/runtime and Supabase for authentication and data storage. Those providers may process data on our behalf under their own security and service terms.

7. Data Retention

• Account records: retained while your account remains active and for a limited period afterward for backup, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
• Saved plans and saved profiles: retained until you delete them, delete your account, or ask us to remove them.
• Installer match requests: retained for up to 12 months after the last match activity unless a longer period is reasonably needed for safety, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
• Optional measurement/referral cookies and local storage: up to 90 days.
• Consent preference: 12 months.
• Routing variant cookie: 30 days.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, and export of personal information. WellWise now provides account privacy controls for export and delete requests, and you can also contact us directly.

• Reject optional cookies at any time through the Cookie choices control.

9. Children’s Privacy

WellWise Finder is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS, platform security controls, and auth protections. No internet system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.
